PART 2: JOB SUMMARY | |||
The incumbent will be assigned to any of the three core functions of the ISMO namely System Operations, Market Operations and System Planning. Under the System Operations function, this position will mainly be involved in Power Control Room Operations, Grid Code administration, transmission network operations, short- and medium-term system operations planning and forecasting, power system studies etc. Under the Market Operations, this position will be involved in operation of Market Management System, Market Commercial Code administration, market design and evolution, new product development, simulation of market models, data analysis and visualization, market compliance and surveillance, market services, training and capacity building initiatives, stakeholder coordination, research and development activities pertaining to competitive electricity market etc. Under the Power System Planning function, this position will be involved in preparing generation expansion plans, transmission expansion plans, demand forecasting, load flow and production cost modeling, load profile analysis etc. | |||
PART 3: KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES | |||
The incumbent will be placed in any of the three core business streams of ISMO and will involve in a variety of the respective tasks as follows: | |||
Required Qualification: A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electronics Engineering from a reputable HEC-recognized university and having PEC Registration. | Age Limit: The maximum age limit is 28 years as of the closing date of applications. | Experience: Not required.

- Candidates must possess relevant degrees/equivalence certificates recognized by HEC. Candidates awaiting their results are not eligible to apply.
- Candidates are advised to deposit the test fee of Rs. 650/- (Rupees Six Hundred & Fifty Only) as prescribed by NTS.
- Candidates already in Government service should apply after obtaining NOC from their respective organizations.
- All applicants are advised to read and understand the detailed Job Description of the above positions available at nts.org.pk and ismo.gov.pk, and only submit applications if they meet the eligibility criteria.
- Only short-listed candidates will be called for the test/ interview.
